NEW HOPE FOR CANCER IN YOUR PETS
Written by Rose DiLeva VMD, MS, CVCP, CVA
After twenty years in veterinary medicine and almost as many years studying and practicing the holistic modalities involved, I have finally come upon an herbal based formula that appears to have significant fighting power against cancer in pets. Examples of what the world have considered break- throughs in modern medicine in the past were the discovery of penicillin, aspirin and morphine. All of these are botanicals that came from plants or, in the case of aspirin, the bark of a tree! No single botanical base has had more single uses than the common aspirin. We take it for the simple headache, yet, in certain circumstances, we are advised to take it to take it to avoid getting blood clots in particular medical conditions. Basically, botanicals are the basis of most of the pharmaceuticals that exist and have been synthesized in the conventional medical profession today.

Solar Technology in Play

The prospect of generating pollution-free power from the sun’s rays is appealing, but to-date the low price of oil combined with the high costs of developing new technology have prevented the widespread adoption of solar power in the U.S. and beyond.

The smart fortwo is produced at "smartville" in Hambach, France. Protecting the environment, energy efficiency and preservation of natural resources are hallmarks of smart brand. Only water-soluble paints are used for the smart's three basic colors which are black, white and red. Painting the tridion safety cell is done by the powder-coating process. This removes the need for solvents. The body panels with molded-in color are fully recyclable. The smart fortwo is also classified as an Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) due to its extremely low exhaust emissions. The catalytic converter is positioned close to the engine for a quick response. An electric pump blows fresh air into the exhaust port when the engine is cold to almost completely oxidize the carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) and render them harmless.

Homocysteine): Can levels predict life expectancy?
Written by Mari Fischer
What if someone were to tell you that there was a measurable substance in your body that is theoretically the most important indicator of the health and adaptability of your body’s total biochemistry and your risk of degenerative diseases? Sound intriguing – that’s what is being said about Homocysteine. Recent research is discovering that high levels of homocysteine can damage arteries, the brain and DNA. Spring into joyful celebration of change.
What an exciting season. Mother Nature dazzles every one of my senses in Her spectacular performance of rebirth and renewal. Last month’s little green nubs are today’s kaleidoscopic tulips and golden daffodils. The delicious aroma of freshly mowed grass inspires me to pause for some really deep breaths. Barefoot stepping over lush, cool moss not only delights my feet, but also brightens my already good mood. Songbirds serenade me into wakefulness each morning like those endearing opening scenes of Walt Disney’s Cinderella. The exquisite taste and crunchy texture of the first fresh-picked asparagus from the garden is irresistible.

Drink More Water
Written by Karen Verna Carlson, N.D., Ph.D. (Hon.)
Winter dehydration has greater consequences than just dry skin. It may also be the source of your seasonal blues and flues.
“Drink at least one quart of pure water a day” was one of the first self-health assignments for students in my holistic practitioner classes. Over 30 years and more than 12,000 reports from 600 students, along with my professional observations, and I can say quite confidently that drinking pure water has miraculous healing effect.
From allergies to yawning excessively (not quite A to Z), six months’ consistent daily hydration helped cure acne, altitude sickness, arthritis, bladder infections, chapped lips, constipation, depression, headaches, flu, frostbite, heartburn, infertility (two couples unable to conceive children, began their families while taking my courses), insomnia, fatigue, menstrual and premenstrual disorders, psoriasis, restless leg syndrome, ringing in ears. Medical scientists have proven that physical and mental deterioration associated with aging are more pronounced due to cumulative dehydration.
